"The Power of Choice: How Making Decisions Today Shapes Your Future Self"

Updated: 5 days ago

Once, I heard someone say,

"The choice collapses time."

Looking at myself, I can only say that more than five years ago, I made the right choice—"To do something that my future self would be thankful for".

Now, I’m really grateful for everything I’ve accomplished so far. Being myself now allows me to live in the present, not worrying about changing the past or being afraid of the future.

Most people are like I was in the past. They're afraid of taking small steps because they can’t envision their future selves. For them, thinking and worrying about the past or being passive and letting life happen is a daily routine.

This is a classic pattern that I, too, struggled with on a daily basis—until the day I made the choice to become a better version of myself. That’s how everything started. I didn’t know what I would look like or who I would become, but slowly, I had to leave behind all my beliefs. I couldn’t become better based on my past beliefs or experiences, right?

"Who says you can & can’t? You’re right either way."

So, think about this when you’re about to make any choice.

Reflection Prompt:

Have you ever made a choice that changed your life in ways you couldn’t have predicted? How did it shape the person you are today? I’d love to hear your story.
